Job summary

South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct nursing care to juveniles in a secure facility. You will administer medications, follow physician and practitioner orders, and document encounters using the EHR system.

The role requires SC RN licensure, BLS/ACLS as applicable, and the ability to work with youth in a secure setting. A comprehensive benefits package is included.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must be licensed as a registered nurse in SC.
• BLS/ACLS certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications and treatments as ordered and documents appropriately.
• Ensures orders are followed and coordinates care with other providers.
• Maintains a safe, sanitary environment and observes infection control practices.
• Uses an electronic health record to document encounters with juveniles.
• Provides health education and supports care plans.
