The Unified Government of Wyandotte County is seeking a dedicated professional to supervise juvenile offenders detained in Detention. Responsibilities include overseeing activities, assisting in admissions, and ensuring documentation accuracy.
Qualified candidates must possess at least a high school diploma, be 21 years or older, and have relevant training or experience. The position offers rotational 12-hour shifts with extensive time off. A background check is required.
Responsibilities include direct supervision of juvenile offenders detained in Detention.
Duties include assisting in the admission and discharge of residents, organizing, directing and evaluating the juvenile offenders’ activities of the shift, ensuring all records are accurate and complete before transferring responsibility to the next shift, providing support and structure for detained juveniles through fair and consistent enforcement of rules, application of consequences, active listening and understanding. Continual documentation of offenders’ actions and behaviors.
Be advised this position requires rotational 12 hour shifts and one 6 hour shift. The position offers three and a half days off per week.
Salary Range: $22.53/hr.
