Florida Department of Juvenile Justice seeks a JPO Detention Coordinator to serve as a liaison between Detention Services and Probation, coordinating exclusive caseloads for youth in secure detention. The role requires interaction with youth, families, and detention staff, including evenings and weekends.

Experience with adolescents is essential; a valid driver's license is required. Candidates should be prepared for non-traditional hours and thorough case management in JJIS.

Competenze

• Four years of experience working directly with adolescents in criminal justice or social services settings.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• One to three years of experience with youth and knowledge of juvenile court system.
• CPR & First Aid certifications must be maintained.
• Non-traditional hours including weekends and evenings may be required.

Mansioni

• Serve as liaison between Detention Services and Probation to coordinate youth transitions.
• Maintain specialized caseload and document case management activities in JJIS.
• Assist with admission planning, risk assessments, and court communications.
• Coordinate transportation planning for discharge and court/school activities.
• Participate in weekly detention review meetings and maintain contact with youth during detention.
