Job summary

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology, Education, or closely related field.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the juvenile justice system.
Must have completed a probationary period of one (1) year with Clayton County Juvenile Court.
Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Supervises and assists children under the court’s jurisdiction and investigates, reports, and makes recommendations to the court.
Conducts social history investigations and prepares and files reports for court.
Handles probation supervision, violations, and petitions; testifies in court.
Conducts school/office visits, drug screens, and coordinates with programs/transportation.
Acts as Juvenile Court Supervisor during absence and prepares various reports and orders.
