Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited college or university and license to practice law in Georgia.
• One or more year of experience as a practicing attorney; preference for Juvenile/Youth Court experience.
• Licensed to practice law in Georgia or eligibility to sit for Georgia Bar and licensure within one year.
• Strong knowledge of criminal law, case research, and defense strategy.

Responsibilities

• Attend court appearances, file and manage case records, and coordinate with court staff and witnesses.
• Represent indigent clients in Juvenile Court at various stages of proceedings; argues motions and handles trials.
• Research case law, prepare briefs, and develop defense strategies and case plans.
• Advise clients about plea offers, mitigation, and sentencing considerations; communicate effectively with all parties.
