Allied Universal is hiring a Juvenile Correctional Security Officer – Entry Authorization in Ridgeville, SC. The role focuses on access control, credential verification, and maintaining a safe environment for staff and visitors.

You will monitor entry points, respond to incidents, and provide excellent customer service at a government juvenile services location. This is a full-time, hourly position with a daytime schedule and competitive benefits.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and document activities.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, building areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized entry.
• Communicate clearly with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding access issues and policy violations.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, youth residents, and authorized contractors by carrying out access‑control procedures, site‑specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a government juvenile services location.

• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct individuals according to established facility procedures.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities as required.

• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, building areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security‑related concerns.

• Maintain clear communication with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding access issues, unusual activity, and policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.

• Be at least 21 years of age.

• Have at least six months of security‑related experience.

• Must meet DPSS/DHS tuberculosis test and MMR vaccination requirements.

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
