Job summary

State of Oklahoma invites applications for the Juvenile Competency Coordinator to plan, organize, and supervise investigations and assessments of children’s programs and services across state agencies.

The role leads coordination of the Professional Committee, manages credentialing of evaluators, and interfaces with district courts to address competency matters, reporting findings and trends annually.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, a social or behavioral science, planning, public administration or a related field; or a juris doctorate and five years of professional experience in child welfare, juvenile justice, guidance and counseling, education, law or related planning for social services.
• No substitution below bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Oversee investigations, inspections and assessments of child programs and facilities
• Coordinate credentialing and monitoring of forensic evaluators
• Communicate with judges and parties in district court proceedings on competency matters
• Prepare annual reports on juvenile competency activities
• Coordinate with stakeholders to improve juvenile competency initiatives
