Job summary

The Department of Human Services in Arkansas seeks a Social Services Advisor to review orders of commitment, conduct demographic assessments, and coordinate services for youth in custody and aftercare. The role requires traveling to multiple sites across the state, maintaining face-to-face visits, and working with guardians and courts to ensure needs are met.

You will prepare progress reports, attend Treatment Team meetings, and liaise with providers, courts, and guardians.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of work experience in human services programs or public service.
• Background check and child/adult maltreatment registry check.
• Knowledge of Juvenile Justice System and PREA Standards preferred.
• Knowledge of SAVRY Re-Assessment Tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on available state resources and support programs.
• Conduct needs assessments and recommend interventions.
• Provide guidance on job training, financial aid, and social service programs.
• Assist in crisis intervention and family support services.
• Collaborate with caseworkers and service providers to enhance client outcomes.
