Job summary

Cameron County is seeking a part-time Juvenile Supervision Officer (JSO) in Texas to supervise residents and support education and activities while maintaining safety and order.

The position requires an Associate's Degree preferred, or a high school diploma or GED, plus a valid Texas driver's license. Candidates must pass drug screening and background checks and demonstrate ability to communicate in English; bilingual is preferred. Hourly pay is $15.00.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in a related field of criminal justice, psychology, or government preferred; must have a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision of residents' daily activities and safety.
• Observe and document resident behavior and maintain order.
• Document incidents and complete written reports.
• Transport residents to off-site locations as required.
• Coordinate with staff and comply with PREA and TJJD standards.
