Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections in Saint Anthony, Idaho, seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care for youth in custody, including assessments, triage, treatments, and follow-up. The role requires licensure as an RN in Idaho or via the Nurse Licensure Compact and adherence to PREA requirements.

The position involves intake screenings, health monitoring, medication management, and coordination with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care and safety

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the State of Idaho or through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
• Willing to work in a juvenile correction facility.
• Must meet federal PREA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care including assessments, triage, treatments, emergencies, and follow-up for juveniles.
• Complete intake screenings and ongoing health monitoring (vital signs, labs, immunizations, chronic disease management).
• Manage medication administration and pharmacy coordination, maintain records and inventory.
• Maintain medical documentation and regulatory compliance through timely recordkeeping and discharge planning.
• Coordinate healthcare services, education, and clinical operations with interdisciplinary teams.
