We are recruiting to fill a Juvenile Administrative Support II position to perform receptionist, clerical, and legal support work in a Juvenile Office. The work involves performing legal secretarial and clerical duties, requiring initiative, independent judgment, and discretion. Instructions are received from a supervisor on new assignments and policies, and work is reviewed upon completion for adherence to policies and results.

Responsibilities include:
  • Drafting correspondence, legal documents, memoranda, motions, and other materials from copy or notes.
  • Screening and referring callers and visitors, answering inquiries, maintaining appointment schedules and electronic calendars.
  • Identifying critical calls and advising staff accordingly.
  • Entering information into database systems and performing data processing activities.
  • Processing discovery and related tasks.
Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from high school and three years of legal secretarial or clerical experience. Additional experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of administrative support practices and procedures.
  • Proficiency in business English, spelling, punctuation, and arithmetic.
  • Knowledge of court procedures, legal documents, laws, and legal factors related to the court.
  • Understanding of court operations and the scope of Juvenile Officer authority.
  • Familiarity with modern office practices, procedures, and e-filing requirements.
