Job summary

C&B CUSTOM MODULAR INCORPORATED is seeking a purchasing professional to source materials for multiple projects and ensure timely delivery to support production. The role emphasizes coordination with production, sales, and engineering to maintain material flow and accurate inventory information.

Responsibilities include reviewing blueprints, sourcing materials, tracking shortages, and communicating price changes to the Purchasing Manager.

Qualifications

High school diploma/GED.
Understanding of modular building construction process.
Ability to read blueprints and usage of raw materials during the construction process.
Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Purchase material for all projects.
Schedule materials ahead of production requirements to support just‑in‑time needs.
Order shortages on a daily basis.
Purchase standard materials for cycle counts.
Maintain purchasing project files.
Search for new products and innovative ideas.
Advise Purchasing Manager of all price changes.
Assist in inventory entry and prices out inventory write-ins.
Provide the Production Department and other departments with accurate information regarding material availability.
Provide Sales and Engineering with technical information on special material.
Assist Purchasing Manager as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
