Job summary

The Junkluggers in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking Operations Managers / Drivers to be the face of the company for customers. You will lead routes, ensure safe loading and transport, and educate customers on our eco-friendly services.

Join a team that values safety, customer care, and community impact as we donate and recycle items through a green mission. Training provided; CDL not required, equipment maintained daily.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for customer-facing role.
• Safety-first mindset and attention to detail.
• Ability to learn and use field technology to complete tasks efficiently.
• Ability to solve problems on the fly to complete jobs.
• Valid driver’s license and responsible driving history.
• Ability to communicate on- and off-hours using your own mobile phone.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Be a Team Player: Treat team members and customers with care and respect by providing knock-your-socks-off service.
• Excellent Customer Service: Safely load, transport, and unload items and educate customers on services to demonstrate value.
• Lead Operations: Run route efficiently with donations, recycling decisions; communicate on/off hours for upcoming jobs.
• Green Mission: Work with donation, recycling, and disposal partners to dispose items in an eco-friendly way.
• Use Vehicle and Tools: Operate company vehicle safely. Training provided. Maintain trucks with daily inspections.
• Marketing: Execute tactics to win repeat business, referrals, and new customers.

Responsibilities

• Be a Team Player: Treat team members and customers with care and respect by providing knock-your-socks-off service.
• Excellent Customer Service: Safely load, transport, and unload customer’s unwanted items and educate customers on our services to demonstrate our value.
• Lead Operations: Become an operational decision maker to run your route efficiently (what can be donated and recycled and where, how to safely and efficiently complete a job); ability to communicate both on and off hours to plan for upcoming jobs.
• Green Mission: Work with community donation, recycling, and disposal partners to dispose of items the green way.
• Use Vehicle and Tools: Operate company vehicle safely. (No CDL needed. Training provided). Help maintain trucks and equipment with daily inspections and reporting of any observed issues.
• Marketing: Execute marketing tactics (posting signage, door hangers etc) to win repeat business, referrals, and new customers.
  
  

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – this is a customer-facing role

• Ability to learn and use technology in the field to execute job requirements, quickly and efficiently
• Ability to problem solve on the fly to get the job done
• Have a valid driver's license and are an attentive driver.
• Ability to communicate on- and off-hours using your own mobile phone
