Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience performing Juniper SRX to Palo Alto NGFW migration.
• Expertise with Palo Alto NGFW architecture, deployment and operations in large-scale environments.
• Knowledge of Juniper configurations and translating them to Palo Alto best practices.
• Understanding of Security/NAT Policies, Application-ID, User-ID, Content-ID, and Zone-Based Security.
• Experience with service provider routing environments (MPLS, EVPN/VXLAN) and high availability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support migration of firewall infrastructure from Juniper SRX to Palo Alto NGFW.
• Translate existing Juniper configurations into Palo Alto best-practice architectures.
• Redesign legacy policies to application-aware security models.
• Configure and operate Security/NAT Policies, App-ID, User-ID, Content-ID and Zone-Based Security.
• Integrate Palo Alto firewalls into large service provider networks (MPLS, EVPN/VXLAN, IP transit).
• Deploy NGFWs in active/ passive and active/active HA architectures.
• Apply advanced threat prevention (IPS, Anti-Malware, URL Filtering, DNS Security, WildFire).
• Perform sizing, performance tuning, and capacity planning for high throughput.
• Utilize SCM for centralized management, templates and policy workflows.
• Lead cutovers during maintenance with rapid rollback readiness.
• Mentor customer engineers on Palo Alto operational best practices.
