Juniper Network Engineer

Optomi, in partnership with a global leader in infrastructure modernization, is seeking a Juniper Network Engineer to join a forward-looking initiative supporting the transformation of legacy systems into a secure, cloud-native environment. This role offers the unique opportunity to drive critical networking solutions within Azure, with a focus on Juniper technologies, virtualization, and enterprise routing.

Requirements and Skills of the right candidate:

5+ years of enterprise networking experience with a strong focus on Juniper technologies
Deep understanding of Juniper JUNOS and SRX series firewalls
Proficiency in Azure network configuration, routing, and virtual environments
Solid grasp of routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF
Experience with network performance monitoring and diagnostic tools
Strong communication skills to support technical and non-technical stakeholders
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred (IT, Computer Science, etc.)

Key Responsibilities

Architect, deploy, and manage Juniper-based network infrastructure within Microsoft Azure
Serve as the go-to SME for Juniper networking and virtualization technologies
Support a major enterprise migration from legacy on-prem systems to cloud-based architecture
Optimize network performance and security across hybrid (cloud/on-prem) environments
Work cross-functionally with DevOps, Security, and Infrastructure teams to deliver robust solutions
