Job summary

IES Infrastructure Solutions in Manitowoc, WI is seeking an Assembler & Welder to perform basic welding, fit-up, and mechanical assembly under supervision. This entry-level role (0–3 years) develops foundational skills assembling enclosure frames and panels.

You will read blueprints, follow procedures, and collaborate with the team to meet daily production goals while maintaining safety.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years experience in welding, fabrication, or mechanical assembly.

Responsibilities

• Assist with structural welding on enclosure components following drawings and procedures.
• Perform basic mechanical assembly, including fitting panels, installing hardware, and prepping components for welding or final assembly.
• Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to determine weld and assembly requirements.
• Support material movement and positioning using overhead cranes or rigging; training provided as needed.
• Conduct visual weld checks, report defects, and assist with rework under guidance.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow PPE requirements, including respirators when required.
• Assist in setup and teardown of welding/assembly workstations.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and maintain workflow.
