Job summary

QPS Employment Group is hiring a Junior Welder for a company in Darien, WI on 1st shift. The role involves welding and fabrication of stainless steel tanks and related products, following work instructions and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing welding experience required.
• 6 months to 2 years in production or fabrication environment preferred.
• MIG welding is required; TIG welding and stainless steel/aluminum experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding and occasional TIG welding on stainless steel tanks, components, and assemblies per work instructions and safety procedures.
• Fabricate, assemble, and weld tank systems and related products per specs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to ensure accurate fabrication.
• Verify fixtures and components are aligned prior to welding.
• Inspect welds and finished products for quality and dimensional accuracy.

Position Title: Junior WelderWage: $21.25/hourShift: 1stHours: 6:00am-4:30pmQPS Employment Group is hiring a Junior Welder for a company in Darien, WI. This is an opportunity for hire role on 1st shift.Junior Welder Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Perform MIG welding and occasional TIG welding on stainless steel tanks, components, and assemblies according to work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures- Fabricate, assemble, and weld tank systems and related products to company and customer specifications- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work orders, and production documentation to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly- Verify fixtures, jigs, and components are properly aligned and positioned prior to welding- Inspect welds and completed products for quality, appearance, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with specifications- Ensure welds are leak-proof and capable of passing required pressure and quality testing- Use measuring instruments and precision tools to verify dimensions and maintain product quality- Perform grinding, smoothing, polishing, and finishing of stainless steel products to meet customer requirements- Operate various hand tools, grinders, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively- Follow all company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area- Work efficiently to meet production schedules while maintaining high quality standards- Collaborate with team members and assist in continuous improvement efforts throughout the manufacturing process- Support training and development opportunities to further enhance welding and fabrication skillsJunior Welder Requirements:- Previous manufacturing welding experience is required, preferably 6 months to 2 years in a production or fabrication environment- Ability to perform quality welds that meet company standards, customer specifications, and production expectations- Experience with MIG welding is required; experience with TIG welding and working with stainless steel, mild steel, or aluminum is a plus- Ability to read basic blueprints, work instructions, measuring devices, and inspection tools to ensure accurate fabrication- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship- Welding certifications are beneficial but not required- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision after training while also contributing to a team environment- Willingness to learn new skills, accept coaching, and continue developing welding and fabrication abilities- Reliable attendance, a positive work ethic, and a commitment to workplace safety- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and frequently bend, reach, twist, stoop, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shiftIND022QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
