Job Title: Junior Welder

We currently have an opportunity for a Junior Welder to join our Peoria, Arizona team. This position is responsible for fabricating equipment and products using metal components. Junior Welders prepare parts for assembly and clean finished products before shipment. They are assigned to specific areas in the manufacturing plant but may work with other departments. Welders must understand and work with build documents and basic drawings for fabrication.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Weld thin gauge stainless steel sheet metal components together to fabricate restaurant equipment, primarily using TIG welding techniques.
2. Position and clamp components of fabricated metal products in preparation for welding.
3. Read and interpret build documents and basic drawings.
4. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
5. Clean finished products.
6. Deburr and silicon materials as needed.
7. Peel paper from materials.
8. Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of proper welding techniques and quality control procedures, including TIG welding.
• Mechanically inclined; ability to operate shop machinery and basic hand tools.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16th of an inch.
• Ability to add and subtract fractions.
• Detail-oriented; able to meet quality standards with accuracy and thoroughness.
• Organized; able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Problem-solving skills; able to analyze information and suggest improvements.
• Punctual; consistently on time and able to complete work promptly.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; contributes positively and seeks help when needed.
