Cvent is seeking a Software Engineer I to design, build, and ship features for web applications used by event professionals worldwide. You will work in an agile team with experienced engineers, product managers, and designers, and have opportunities to grow technical depth while taking ownership of your work.

Hybrid role with 2 days in office, based in Tysons, VA area. Ideal candidates have a strong foundation in OOP (Java preferred), REST APIs, and CI/CD practices, plus experience with AWS and

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Experience building software applications through professional work, internships, or substantial project work.
• Working knowledge of SQL, including writing queries and stored procedures (T-SQL a plus).
• Experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful web services (JSON).
• Foundation in object-oriented programming; Java preferred.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative version control workflows.
• Understanding of build and CI/CD tools such as Gradle, Maven, or Jenkins.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, preferably AWS (CloudFront a plus).
• Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative, curious mindset.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and test responsive, accessible, user-friendly web applications using modern front-end frameworks and libraries
• Develop new features and integrate them with Cvent's cloud-based platform and services
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and take part in code reviews
• Investigate, debug, and resolve software issues, and help improve reliability and performance
• Collaborate with other product teams across the Cvent suite to ensure systems integrate and work together smoothly
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and help improve team engineering practices
• Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly to boost productivity and code quality
