Job summary

BTS Software Solutions seeks a Jr Weapons Systems Analyst to join the team in Quantico, VA. Analyze current and future foreign weapon systems, assess capabilities and vulnerabilities, and prepare analytic products for national security communities.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of analysis experience and a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with potential substitution of 7 years of experience for a degree.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience conducting analysis relevant to the specific labor category, with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
• Bachelor's degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. An additional 4 years of experience in the specific labor category, for a total of 7 years of experience in the specific labor category, may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
• Mastery of qualitative and quantitative analytic methodologies and pursue developments in academia or other fields that affect tradecraft methodology.
• Ability to define comprehensive, new, or unique research approaches that enable rigorous assessments to address and contribute to high-level tasks.
• In-depth analysis of analytic operations and knowledge management issues across organizational and intra-IC boundaries and clearly articulates key findings.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal oversight.
• Ability to review analytic products for cogent arguments, tradecraft standards, and adequate support for conclusions; routinely tests analytic rigor of analytic products.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and assess current and future foreign, lethal and non-lethal weapon systems including, but not limited to, system capabilities, vulnerabilities, production, stockpile, deployment, proliferation, and impact to U.S. and Coalition forces worldwide. Prepares analytic products informing the U.S. National, Defense and Acquisition Communities of foreign weapon system developments.
