The Junior Weapons System Analyst will provide research, analysis, and operational insights on foreign and adversary weapons systems, capabilities, and tactics. The analyst will support Red Force simulation, threat modeling, exercises, and operational planning to help replicate realistic adversary capabilities and scenarios.

Conduct research and analysis on global threat weapons systems, capabilities, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).

Analyze foreign and adversary weapons systems to assess capabilities, limitations, vulnerabilities, employment concepts, and potential operational impacts.

Support joint and Service-level exercises by providing realistic Red Force capabilities, planning inputs, and opposing force scenarios.

Assist in developing threat laydowns, engagement scenarios, and threat models that accurately represent adversary capabilities and operating environments.

Support the simulation and representation of Red Force capabilities during exercises, wargames, and operational planning activities.

Collaborate with Blue Force analysts and other stakeholders to assess friendly system vulnerabilities against adversary weapons systems and capabilities.

Produce intelligence assessments, reports, briefings, and other analytic products addressing adversary capabilities, emerging threats, and strategic or operational implications.

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Active TS/SCI security clearance with willingness to undergo a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.

Minimum of three (3) years of experience conducting analysis relevant to this labor category, with a portion of that experience obtained within the past two (2) years.

Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, an additional four (4) years of relevant experience may be substituted, for a total of seven (7) years of experience in the specific labor category.

Working knowledge of the concepts, principles, and functions associated with weapons systems and threat analysis.

Knowledge of Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) classification guidelines and procedures, with demonstrated ability to apply them appropriately.

Ability to work semi-independently while effectively incorporating oversight, guidance, and direction.

Demonstrated ability to evaluate and synthesize information from multiple sources, applying sound logic and analytic judgment to determine its meaning, significance, and implications.

Ability to develop and defend analytic judgments using sound reasoning and evidence and to revise those judgments appropriately as new information, changing conditions, or unexpected developments emerge.

Demonstrated ability to produce timely, logical, concise, and well-supported analytic reports, assessments, studies, briefings, and other intelligence products.

Ability to clearly communicate complex topics in a concise, organized, and professional manner, both verbally and in writing.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and the ability to produce analytic materials in electronic, matrix-based, and web-enabled formats as required.

Demonstrated ability to conduct structured research, including obtaining, evaluating, organizing, documenting, and maintaining information in accordance with applicable security and data-handling protocols.

Ability to identify relevant nuances and recognize and resolve contradictions, inconsistencies, and gaps within available information.

Working knowledge of complex and structured analytic methodologies used to challenge assumptions, identify biases, evaluate alternative explanations, reduce uncertainty, strengthen analytic judgments, and mitigate surprise. Techniques may include Analysis of Competing Hypotheses, Devil’s Advocacy, High-Impact/Low-Impact Analysis, Red Team Analysis, and Alternative Futures Analysis.

Understanding of intelligence collection capabilities and limitations, including technical sensors and platforms, Human Intelligence (HUMINT), and other collection sources relevant to the position.

Understanding of how to evaluate intelligence reporting, coordinate with collection managers, identify intelligence gaps, and support the development of collection requirements.
