Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in molecular and cellular biology, developmental biology or related field, with at least 3 months of lab experience.
• Must be able to keep a detailed lab notebook and document data for publications and presentations.
• Willingness to learn new skills and work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute mouse and jerboa tissue collection during vertebra formation, including animal husbandry, genotyping, tissue processing, staining, and in situ methods.
• Review literature and design new experiments in collaboration with the PI; present work at lab meetings and contribute to manuscript preparation.
• Assist in lab management, ordering supplies, maintaining space, and coordinating animal colony maintenance and safety compliance.
• Mentor undergraduate lab assistants and participate in departmental meetings and activities.
