Job summary

Oakland Human Resources Consortium is seeking an Athletics/Coaching professional responsible for program management, player supervision, and ensuring equipment care. The role requires enforcing league rules and maintaining safety during practices, games, and travel.

You will communicate with players, officials, parents, and administrators, and model professional conduct while guiding youth and adults in sport activities.

Qualifications

• Must have documented evidence of organizational skills and the ability to work with youth and adults.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• MHSAA CAP 1 or CAP 2 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directly responsible for all matters relative to the program including player personnel, practice sessions, care and maintenance of equipment and supervision of players during practice, games, travel and other team functions.
• Be knowledgeable of and consistently enforce School, District, League and MHSAA rules and policies.
• Effectively communicate with players, officials, fellow coaches, parents, administrators and community members.
• Ensure that the safety and welfare of the athletes is a top priority in the organization and implementation of practice and game situations.
• Be responsive to instructions and directions of the district Athletic Director and other appropriate school administrators.
• Present a professional image and provide a positive role model in terms of personal habits, language and conduct.

Must be available during the time requirements of the position
