Job summary

ReNEW Schools is seeking a Junior Varsity Assistant Cheerleading Coach for the 2026-2027 season. The successful candidate will assist the Varsity Head Coach and manage equipment, ensuring a safe environment for athletes.

Qualified candidates must possess or be willing to obtain a valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card. Previous coaching and classroom teaching experience is preferred. Candidates are asked to submit a cover letter, resume, and letters of recommendation.

Responsibilities

• Handle and maintain equipment in conjunction with the Athletic Director.

• Attend all meetings held by the Athletic Director.
• Verify practice/game fields are safe.
• Coordinate fundraising with the Booster Clubs.

American Leadership Academy - West Foothills is currently seeking a qualified Junior Varsity Assistant Cheerleading Coach for the 2026-2027 season. Candidates must possess, or be willing to obtain, a valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Handling/maintaining equipment and utilization of playing areas in conjunction with the Athletic Director.
• Assist Varsity Head Coach with making specific requests for equipment and supplies.
• Manage care and distribution of equipment and supplies
• Attend all meetings held by the Athletic Director and the League Chairperson.
• Establish good public relations with parents, teachers, community, and the news media.
• Report contest results to the Varsity Head Coach.
• Verify all practice/game fields are safe for players and spectators.
• Coordinate fundraising with the Booster Clubs.
• Have a well-developed coaching philosophy.
• Have a “Plan for Success” that outlines expectations and discipline for the program.
• Assist in developing a year-round action plan for maximizing the potential of each athlete.
• Other duties as assigned, including any pre or post-season responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance card
