Job summary

HDR, Inc. seeks a motivated Utility Coordinator I to support transportation projects in Houston, Texas. You’ll assist with utility conflicts, SUE investigations, records research, and coordination with utility owners and roadway engineers to meet client goals.

Primary responsibilities include preparing client deliverables, QA/QC of agreements, and maintaining project documentation. Travel is typically around 10% and collaboration with project teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent education and experience.
• Ability to read and understand civil transportation plans and utility documents.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying and resolving utility conflicts on transportation projects.
• Coordinate SUE investigations, schedules, and submittals.
• Research utility records, contacts, maps, and plans for projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, utility owners, and engineers to meet client needs.
• Prepare client deliverables, exhibits, and project invoices; assist with QA/QC.
