Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in planning or related field.
  • Planner I requires 1 year of progressive responsibility experience; Planner II requires 3 years.
  • AICP certification is preferred for Planner II and a valid Texas Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as project manager for planning projects and land development proposals.
  • Evaluate land development proposals and coordinate review processes.
  • Provide public information and attend public meetings.
  • Prepare amendments and long-range planning documents.
  • Interpret City codes and policy guidance; coordinate with stakeholders.
