Am Law 50 firm in Chicago seeks a junior associate for its Trusts & Estates practice. The group handles sophisticated private wealth matters for ultra-high-net-worth individuals, with exposure to estate and tax planning and administration.

This role offers development within a national platform, working closely with experienced trusts & estates attorneys and sophisticated clients, and providing exposure to complex matters.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience preferred.
• Strong academic credentials and writing skills.
• Demonstrated interest in trusts & estates, private wealth, or tax planning.

Responsibilities

• Draft wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents.
• Assist with estate, gift, GST, and income tax planning matters.
• Research federal and state transfer tax issues.
• Support trust and estate administration matters.
• Prepare memoranda and other client work product.
• Participate in client meetings and coordinate with accountants, investment advisors, fiduciaries, and other outside advisors.
