Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Traffic Engineer to be based in Hunt Valley, MD, with a Spring/Summer 2027 start. You will conduct traffic engineering analyses under supervision, perform fieldwork, and prepare technical reports, maps and presentations to support findings and decisions.

The full-time hybrid role requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related field; Engineer-in-Training is preferred, along with internship experience and familiarity with ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Synchro, and VISSIM.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Engineer-in-Training certification is preferred or the ability to obtain.
Experience with traffic engineering or transportation planning projects is preferred.
Experience with ArcGIS, Microstation/AutoCAD, Synchro, HCS, VISSIM or similar tools.

Responsibilities

Conduct traffic engineering analysis under supervision.
Use software as a tool for solving basic traffic engineering problems.
Conduct fieldwork such as traffic counts and site visits.
Prepare technical reports, presentations, maps, websites, or other documentation.
Work within budget and schedule and collaborate with other engineers.
