Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Engineer-in-Training certification (or ability to obtain).
Experience with traffic engineering or transportation planning projects for MD transportation agencies.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite and relevant design software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Conduct traffic engineering analysis under supervision of a licensed engineer.
Use software tools to solve basic traffic engineering and transportation planning problems.
Perform fieldwork such as traffic counts and site visits.
Prepare technical reports, presentations, maps, websites, or other documentation.
Work within budget and schedule and collaborate with other engineers.
