Job summary

AECOM in New York, NY is seeking an Entry-Level Traffic Engineer to join our Transportation team for Spring/Summer 2027. You will learn and contribute to real-world infrastructure projects through hands-on data collection, analysis, and reporting.

You will perform traffic and capacity analyses, prepare NEPA/SEQRA/CEQRA documentation, and develop your analytical and design skills under supervision within a hybrid work schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering or equivalent.
• FE/PE not required for entry-level; Master's preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical tasks including traffic data collection and data manipulation.
• Perform traffic and capacity analysis on roadway networks.
• Prepare written documentation of NEPA/SEQRA/CEQRA Transportation results.
• Prepare written reports and presentations of project findings.
• Builds analytic and design skills under supervision.
• Conducts planning analysis and conceptual design.
• Creates drawings and calculations under supervision.
• Collects and analyzes data under supervision.
• Uses computer software to solve basic engineering problems.
