Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited is seeking a Junior Tool & Die Machinist/Apprentice for a family-owned manufacturer in the Cleveland, OH area. You will learn under Journeymen, gaining hands-on experience toward becoming a skilled Tool & Die professional in a true job shop environment.

The role is on-site, Monday–Friday, 7:30am–3:30pm, with overtime paid at 1.5x. Start pay is USD 24–28 per hour plus structured training and excellent benefits, with clear development and progression

Qualifications

• Junior role focused on developing Tool & Die skills through structured training.
• No specific degree required; development path provided within the company.

Responsibilities

• Machine and fit precision components to tight tolerances (around 0.001”).
• Build, modify and troubleshoot production machinery, tooling and prototypes.
• Work across varied projects while building the skills and experience needed to progress.
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-3:30pm, on-site; OT paid 1.5x over 40 hours.

You’ll work alongside experienced Tool & Die Makers, Engineers and a highly skilled Maintenance Engineering Supervisor who can help you develop your capabilities through hands-on experience and a training program that’s being standardized and structured.

This is a true job shop environment, so you’ll get exposure to a huge variety of work rather than repeating the same production process every day. You’ll build, modify and troubleshoot production equipment, work on prototypes and machine precision components to tight tolerances (around 0.001”)

Your development will be tailored around where you are today and where you want to get to. You’ll have access to internal training, with external training available where needed, personalized development, and the opportunity to work toward Journeyman-level capability while learning directly from experienced machinists.

The goal is to build your skills for the long term. As your experience grows, there is the potential to progress into more senior technical and working-lead positions over time, giving you a clear path beyond the junior level.
