The role involves scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of diesel engines, electrical generators, brake systems, drive systems, inspection systems, and other railcar components. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, installations, calibrations, and coordination with design engineering, along with documenting findings and maintaining records.

ENSCO's Applied Technology and Engineering (ATE) Division designs, develops, manufactures, and supports advanced technology inspection systems for national and international railway markets.
We are currently seeking a Junior Technician for our ATIP maintenance group which supports a variety of railroad transportation activities to maintain and ensure safe rail systems for the Federal Railroad Administration and railroad companies.
The incumbent will perform scheduled maintenance and unscheduled repair of diesel engines, electrical generators, brake systems, drive systems, inspection system instrumentation, electrical subsystems, and other railcar appliances. Occasional assignments conducting railroad track inspection operations may be performed. Update and maintain record keeping of performed work.
The selected candidate will be required to submit additional screening and background investigations in connection with this position. Wearing safety equipment (hard hat, steel-toe boots, protective vest and protective eyeglasses) when working on railroad properties is also a requirement. ENSCO will provide all necessary safety equipment.
