Join to apply for the Junior Talent Acquisition Specialist role at Information Technology Strategies, Inc.

Information Technology Strategies, Inc. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiatives across the United States. We are currently seeking a Junior Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET / TOP SECRET Clearance. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements include U.S. Citizenship, a clear criminal history check, and no recent or pending bankruptcies)
  2. Collaborate with Human Resources, Proposal Managers, and senior leadership to support full cycle recruiting efforts.
  3. Source candidates through job boards, networks, referrals, and job fairs.
  4. Support proposal efforts with quick turn-around recruiting.
  5. Assist in developing job descriptions in collaboration with hiring managers and proposal teams.
  6. Maintain the Recruiting module of Human Resource Information System (HRIS) ADP Comprehensive, including status updates and notes on applicants.
  7. Work with hiring managers to understand technical requirements and tailor pre-screening questions accordingly.
  8. Evaluate candidate skills, experience, and qualifications to determine fit based on pre-screening questions.
  9. Work independently and as part of a team.
  10. Build and maintain a talent pipeline for current and future openings.
  11. Stay current on industry trends, market knowledge, and competitive intelligence.
  12. Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
  13. Assist in bi-annual position description reviews for accuracy and relevance.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  1. Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET / TOP SECRET Clearance. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements include U.S. Citizenship, a clear criminal history check, and no recent or pending bankruptcies)
  2. Previous experience recruiting within the Federal Government and/or Federal Contracting space.
  3. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent of 4 additional years of experience.
  4. 2 to 4 years of recruiting experience.
  5. Previous technical and proposal recruiting experience.
  6. Knowledge of Federal Government security clearances and 8570/8140 requirements.
  7. Experience with multiple job posting platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Indeed).
  8. Skills in sourcing candidates, defining competencies, interviewing, and screening.
  9. Proficiency with MS Office products: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  10. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation experience.

Preferences:

  1. Hands-on experience with HRIS ADP Comprehensive.
  2. Active secret clearance.
  3. Experience with ISO and CMMI standards.
  4. Located within the Washington DC, Virginia, Maryland area.
