Information Technology Strategies, Inc. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiatives across the United States. We are currently seeking a Junior Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET / TOP SECRET Clearance. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements include U.S. Citizenship, a clear criminal history check, and no recent or pending bankruptcies)
- Collaborate with Human Resources, Proposal Managers, and senior leadership to support full cycle recruiting efforts.
- Source candidates through job boards, networks, referrals, and job fairs.
- Support proposal efforts with quick turn-around recruiting.
- Assist in developing job descriptions in collaboration with hiring managers and proposal teams.
- Maintain the Recruiting module of Human Resource Information System (HRIS) ADP Comprehensive, including status updates and notes on applicants.
- Work with hiring managers to understand technical requirements and tailor pre-screening questions accordingly.
- Evaluate candidate skills, experience, and qualifications to determine fit based on pre-screening questions.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Build and maintain a talent pipeline for current and future openings.
- Stay current on industry trends, market knowledge, and competitive intelligence.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Assist in bi-annual position description reviews for accuracy and relevance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET / TOP SECRET Clearance. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements include U.S. Citizenship, a clear criminal history check, and no recent or pending bankruptcies)
- Previous experience recruiting within the Federal Government and/or Federal Contracting space.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent of 4 additional years of experience.
- 2 to 4 years of recruiting experience.
- Previous technical and proposal recruiting experience.
- Knowledge of Federal Government security clearances and 8570/8140 requirements.
- Experience with multiple job posting platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Indeed).
- Skills in sourcing candidates, defining competencies, interviewing, and screening.
- Proficiency with MS Office products: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation experience.
Preferences:
- Hands-on experience with HRIS ADP Comprehensive.
- Active secret clearance.
- Experience with ISO and CMMI standards.
- Located within the Washington DC, Virginia, Maryland area.
