Job summary

KBR in Chantilly, VA is seeking an entry level Jr. Systems Engineer (Digital Engineering Engagement) to join our National Security Solutions team on site. A TS/SCI with poly is required for consideration.

You will apprentice under Digital Engineering SMEs, support MBSE efforts, and help deliver foundational DE approaches across the enterprise while ensuring systems engineering processes meet the SOW. This role offers growth in a collaborative environment and the chance to influence defense

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field; 0 years of experience.
• Foundational understanding of systems engineering and MBSE.
• Basic data concepts and technologies (relational databases, ontology, UAF or SysML).
• Strong communication skills for collaboration.
• Must possess TS/SCI clearance with Poly.

Responsibilities

• Apprentice to engaged specialists and perform tasks under supervision of Digital Engineering SMEs.
• Support engagement growth across the Enterprise and with partner agencies.
• Deliver foundational digital engineering approaches that align with engineering and MS&A processes.
• Assist teams in MBSE method implementation.
• Support enterprise digital engineering approaches with accessible, interconnected data.
• Ensure SOW-driven SE and MS&A processes are followed.
• Aid federated modeling across the enterprise and partners.
• Follow MBSE methodology guidelines and share best practices with stakeholders.
• Communicate modeling concepts to stakeholders at varying levels.
