Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with ticketing systems such as Service Desk Plus or similar systems.
• Strong knowledge of Windows systems and experience supporting these systems.
• Working knowledge of networking concepts including LAN, WLAN, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and standard business application suites.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust background investigation.
• U.S. Citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Maintain data files and control procedures for networked PCs and desktops connected to enterprise servers.
• Ensure system security and data integrity through user account administration and monitoring.
• Perform daily system backups and file restoration activities as required.
• Monitor system availability and respond to routine user support requests.
• Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software on Windows systems.
• Support IT asset tracking and inventory management using tools such as Sunflower.
• Triage, document, and track user trouble tickets; escalate issues as appropriate.
• Perform media sanitization and assist with equipment disposal.
• Maintain detailed operational logs documenting system behavior and issues encountered.
• Assist with creation and maintenance of systems documentation and procedures.
• Support compliance with Federal cybersecurity requirements including FISMA and NIST standards.
• Participate in on-call rotations supporting N-Wave network operations as required.
