Qualifications

• Foundational experience with Windows Server and Linux systems.
• Familiarity with virtualization such as VMware.
• Basic scripting or automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Ansible.
• Basic understanding of system administration, patching, and software installation.
• Active Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support administration and troubleshooting of Windows Server, RHEL 8/9, VMware, and related infrastructure.
• Assist with OS and application patching, security updates, and vulnerability remediation.
• Develop basic scripts to support routine tasks using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Ansible.
• Test patches and config changes in lab environments before deployment.
• Assist with system hardening and vulnerability remediation using DoD STIGs tools.
• Support software and patch deployment using Red Hat Satellite and SCCM/MECM.
• Maintain system documentation and configuration records.
• Assist senior admins with troubleshooting and maintenance.

Position Summary

ISPA Technology is seeking a Junior Systems Administrator to join our team in Panama City, FL. This position will support the administration, maintenance, patching, and security of Windows and Linux systems in a DoD environment. The ideal candidate has foundational experience with Windows Server, Linux, VMware, and basic scripting or automation and is eager to grow their technical skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the administration and troubleshooting of Windows Server, RHEL 8/9, VMware virtual machines, and related infrastructure.
• Assist with operating system and application patching, security updates, and vulnerability remediation.
• Use or develop basic scripts with Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Ansible to support routine system administration tasks.
• Test patches and configuration changes in lab or staging environments before deployment.
• Assist with system hardening and vulnerability remediation using tools such as ACAS/Nessus, SCAP, STIG Viewer, and DoD STIGs.
• Support software and patch deployment using tools such as Red Hat Satellite and SCCM/MECM.
• Maintain system documentation, procedures, and configuration records.
• Assist senior administrators with troubleshooting, system maintenance, and technical support activities.

Required Qualifications
