Job summary

Helix Energy Solutions Group is seeking a Junior Supply Chain Specialist to assist with procurement and logistical support for our fleet of vessels and facilities. You will place purchase orders, track deliveries, and help address invoice issues while supporting cost-saving initiatives.

Ideal candidates have an Associate’s degree and at least two years of experience in procurement/supply chain, preferably in oil & gas or marine environments, with strong communication and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in procurement/supply chain of technical materials, equipment, and services, preferably in oil and gas, marine industry, or business.

Responsibilities

• Providing procurement support for priority C & D REQs of Helix's fleet of vessels, project or corporate requirements as assigned.
• Purchase order placement and follow‑up
• Identifying and addressing invoice issues
• Sourcing and negotiating material, equipment, and services to support projects and/or marine operations as assigned

Junior Supply Chain Specialist

This role involves supporting the procurement and logistical needs for Helix’s fleet and related facilities.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities

• Providing procurement support for priority C & D REQs of Helix's fleet of vessels, project or corporate requirements as assigned
• Purchase order placement and follow‑up
• Identifying and addressing invoice issues
• Sourcing and negotiating material, equipment, and services to support projects and/or marine operations as assigned
• Supporting supply chain process implementation and improvement
• Monitoring supplier performance and supporting relationship management
• Identifying and communicating opportunities for cost savings

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree preferred, in a field related to supply chain management, engineering, or business (Education)

Experience

• Two or more years of experience in procurement/supply chain of technical materials, equipment, and services, preferably in oil and gas, marine industry, or business.

Skills

Negotiation and contract negotiating skills with a proven track record of cost savings; organization and leadership skills.
