Job summary

MANTECH seeks a junior structural welder to join our Panama City, FL team onsite. You will perform precision TIG/MIG welding on aerospace components, interpret weld symbols, and maintain records.

Candidates must have a high school diploma, experience welding aerospace materials, and be able to obtain NAVSEA welding certifications within the first year; U.S. citizenship and an active Secret or ability-to-get Interim Secret required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency in TIG, MIG, and stick welding on aerospace-grade materials.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, welding symbols, and technical specifications.
• Experience in MIG/TIG welding of Aluminum, Stainless Steel, and Inconel components.
• Ability to obtain the NAVSEA certification in welding techniques for Aluminum, Stainless Steel, and Inconel welding within first year of employment.

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Junior Structural Welder to join our team in Panama City, FL. This is an onsite position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Perform precision welding on aerospace components using TIG, MIG, and other welding techniques.

• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements.

• Conduct structural repairs and modifications on Aluminum, Stainless Steel, and Iconel

• components.

• Ensure all welds meet quality standards and comply with applicable codes and procedures.

• Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to resolve technical issues.

• Maintain detailed welding records, inspection logs, and fabrication documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Proficiency in TIG, MIG, and stick welding on aerospace-grade materials

• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, welding symbols, and technical specifications

• Experience in MIG/TIG welding of Aluminum, Stainless Steel, and Inconel components

Preferred Qualifications:

• Welding Technical School Training and Certification

Clearance Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship required and an active Secret security clearance or ability to get an Interim Secret before starting.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

• Needs to frequently move about industrial and fabrication areas, including climbing, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

• Must be able to weld in various positions and locations including in and around a Navy LCAC.

• Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve briefings or technical discussions.

• Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
