Job summary

JP Donovan Construction LLC and its sister companies hire junior engineers to develop shop and erection drawings for structural steel and mechanical systems supporting launch infrastructure and aerospace facilities. Reporting to a Senior Engineer, you will work near the fabrication shop, see your drawings produced in real time, and visit local project sites as your work is erected.

As your experience grows, responsibilities expand from detailing into connection design, fabrication engineering

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Civil/Structural or Mechanical Engineering with 0–4 years of relevant experience.
Familiarity with engineering drawings, drafting standards, and design fundamentals.
Interest in detailing, fabrication, and on-site support for aerospace infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Develop and revise shop and erection drawings for structural steel and mechanical systems.
Support connection design and perform engineering calculations under supervision.
Coordinate with fabrication shop and field crews to ensure alignment with sequences.
Perform drawing checks, take-offs, and material lists for fabrication and procurement.
Visit local project sites to observe erection and verify field conditions.
