Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Structural Engineer in the Greater Pennsylvania area to join the Transportation Department in Mechanicsburg, PA. You will work with multi-discipline project teams from initial concepts to detailed design development and through construction.

Entry-Level engineers participate in AECOM's Graduate Development Program to support assimilation, licensure planning, and early technical milestones, with opportunities to work on projects regionally and internationally.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related field.
Valid U.S. Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices.
Academic track with structural engineering concentration is highly desirable.
Relevant internship experience in structural design projects is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Develop and strengthen analytical and design skills.
Assist with engineering design tasks under guidance of experienced engineers.
Prepare designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematics, and final working drawings.
Collect, organize, and analyze data to support engineering decisions.
Utilize engineering software to solve basic technical problems.
Contribute to project work while adhering to budgets and schedules.
