Perry & Associates, LLC is a structural engineering firm in downtown Chicago seeking entry-level engineers focused on repair, rehabilitation, and analysis of existing building structures. Under guidance, you will assist on design, investigation, analysis, and evaluation of projects across residential, educational, and commercial sectors.

Responsibilities include field investigations, drafting structural plans, and performing calculations for structural elements while working with licensed PE/SE

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• 0-3 years of engineering experience; internship preferred.
• FE or active EIT; FE must be completed within 6 months of starting employment.

Responsabilités

• Perform local field investigations to document existing conditions and ongoing construction projects.
• Develop and detail portions of project designs under the direction of experienced engineers.
• Perform calculations for new and existing structural elements.
• Review and interpret technical documents and designs.
• Review and evaluate building codes and specifications.
• Assist experienced engineers in authoring technical reports and project correspondence.
• Participate in project meetings with clients and other design professionals.
