Job summary

KPFF Consulting Engineers is expanding its Chicago structural presence and seeks an early-career Structural Engineer. You’ll work with experienced engineers to gain hands-on experience across structural systems and project phases, while collaborating with the St. Louis team and KPFF colleagues across the firm.

You will progress to greater responsibilities as your skills grow, contributing to diverse Chicago and St. Louis projects while developing professional expertise and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural/Structural emphasis.
• Coursework in structural engineering and design including steel and concrete.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design under guidance of engineers.
• Assist with design of steel, concrete, wood, masonry structures.
• Prepare calculations, drawings, and documentation.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, owners, and project teams.
• Coordinate with St. Louis team and KPFF colleagues.
• Contribute to projects in Chicago, St. Louis, and firmwide.
