Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Charleston, South Carolina office is seeking engineering graduates to join the Structural team in 2027. This is not a remote position and offers mentorship, on-the-job training, and exposure to client interactions.

You will work on diverse structures and contribute to design, analysis, and documentation with guidance from senior engineers, while developing skills in plan production and project coordination.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree (Bachelor's or Master's) by Summer 2027.
• Majors include Civil and/or Environmental Engineering; Structural Engineering.
• Working knowledge of Revit and Civil 3D.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Work on structures like high rises, apartments, hotels, bridges and other buildings.
• Receive on-the-job training, mentorship and exposure to plan production and client interactions.
• Design and analyze vertical structures in compliance with codes.
• Prepare drawings and specifications and perform structural calculations.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers on innovative solutions.
• Utilize structural design software to create precise models.
• Participate in field inspections and site visits as needed.
• Contribute to project coordination meetings and design discussions.
• Assist in preparing reports and technical documents for clients.
