support various ongoing mixed methods research projects. The MMRL is a service center that works with investigators to provide conceptual

and technical support for mixed method, community-based, and clinical research studies.

Create, coordinate and analyze data for a specific database or department wide data set, to support outcome analyses. Develop or apply

mathematical or statistical theory and methods to collect, organize, interpret, and summarize numerical data to provide usable information.

May specialize in fields such as biostatistics, agricultural statistics, business statistics, or economic statistics. Includes mathematical and

survey statisticians.

Job Responsibilities

  • The Mixed Methods Research Lab, in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health, seeks to hire a Junior Statistical Analyst to support various ongoing mixed methods research projects. The MMRL is a service center that works with investigators to provide conceptual and technical support for mixed method, community-based, and clinical research studies. As part of the MMRL team, the Junior Analyst will assist with data management; cleaning, formatting, and preparing transcripts; as well as supporting the coding and analysis of qualitative research data. A Bachelor’s degree and 0-1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education is required. Experience in qualitative research, subject recruitment, and qualitative data collection, is desired. Knowledge of NVivo and RedCap are encouraged. Successful candidates will have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; and will have the ability to work both independently, and collaboratively in teams. The position is contingent upon future funding.

Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job’s level.
