It provides exposure to planning, budgeting, and routine problem solving as part of a team. The position encourages FE exam prep for future PE licensure, with possible degree waivers for non-ABET programs at higher levels.

Qualifications

  • This is an entry level position for new graduates with a Bachelor's degree in engineering in a program ABET-accredited; Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering examination in preparation for future licensing as a Professional Engineer (PE) is encouraged and preferred.
  • Individuals with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology can satisfy this degree requirement, if they obtain a certified Professional Engineering (PE) license.
  • VP or above may waive the requirement for a degree from a university with a Non ABET accredited program

Responsibilities

  • Technical Expertise: Entry-level knowledge applied to solve well-defined problems with guidance from higher-level engineers.
  • Leadership & Guidance: Coordinates work activities of others to resolve routine tasks under supervision.
  • Planning & Organization: Assists in scheduling and cost estimates for routine project work.
  • Problem Solving & Initiative: Applies basic techniques to analyze routine technical problems.
  • Communication: Assists in preparing reports and presentations; communicates clearly in writing and speech.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Supports teamwork and collaboration; builds cooperative relationships.
  • Decision Making: Develops decision-making skills under guidance and contributes to team decisions.
  • Business Awareness: Understands customer needs and seeks efficient, cost-effective solutions
