Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an early-career Staff Accountant for a full-time role with a client company.

You will support the timely execution of financial closing cycles, ensure accuracy of GL entries and reconciliations, and assist with AP/AR processes while developing your corporate accounting skills. You will work with experienced leaders to strengthen financial reporting and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Mathematics required or expected by December 2026.
• 0-2 years of accounting experience; internships valued.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statement prep; able to analyze variances.

Responsibilities

• Support timely financial closing cycles (month-end and year-end).
• Ensure accuracy of general ledger entries and account reconciliations.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies by analyzing GL activity and variances.
• Provide operational support to accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed.
• Contribute to development of financial reports and supporting schedules.
