The UC Davis Strawberry Breeding Program seeks a motivated and highly organized Junior Specialist to join a dynamic, field-based research team developing the next generation of improved strawberry cultivars. This hands-on role covers greenhouse, nursery, and field operations, plant organization, transplanting, irrigation, and pest scouting in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Plant Sciences, Agriculture, Horticulture, Plant Breeding, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist greenhouse, nursery, and field operations including transplanting and harvesting.
• Support planting, irrigation management, and crop maintenance.
• Coordinate with seasonal labor crews to ensure timely research activities.
• Maintain plant inventories and organize field trial logistics.
