Portal Space Systems in Bothell, WA seeks a Junior Structural & Loads Analysis Engineer to join our spacecraft structures team. This early-career role offers hands-on work building finite element models, performing static and dynamic analyses, and supporting environmental testing under mentorship.

You will work with engineers across disciplines, develop your skills in FEM tools like Nastran, ANSYS, and MATLAB, and contribute to flight hardware decisions as capability grows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, civil or related technical discipline (completed by start date).
• Zero to two years of engineering experience; recent graduates encouraged to apply.
• Experience with finite element analysis, structural dynamics or related coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support development, update, verification, and configuration control of spacecraft finite element models.
• Prepare geometry, meshes, materials, joints, interfaces, loads, and analysis inputs.
• Execute static, stress, deflection, modal, frequency‑response, and random‑vibration analyses.
