As a Junior Sous Chef at the Viceroy Snowmass, you will play a key role in assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chefs in maintaining the highest culinary standards while providing guests with an exceptional dining experience. You will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of exquisite dishes, ensuring quality, consistency, and presentation align with our high standards. You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while helping lead a team of chefs.in delivering a memorable culinary experience for our guests..
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chefs in overseeing daily kitchen operations.
- Supervise, mentor, and train junior kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Contribute to menu planning, helping to create seasonal and innovative dishes that highlight local ingredients.
- Ensure the preparation, cooking, and presentation of all dishes is of the highest quality, in line with resort standards.
- Maintain inventory control, ensuring that all kitchen supplies and ingredients are stocked and within budget.
- Assist in maintaining kitchen cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Handle food orders and manage kitchen schedules, ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen workflow.
- Take responsibility for various kitchen sections (e.g., grill, pastry, etc.), ensuring all dishes are prepared to order and according to specifications.
- Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure proper communication and a seamless dining experience.
- Assist in the implementation and enforcement of kitchen procedures, ensuring high standards of food production and cleanliness.
- Help with menu changes and special event planning, assisting in creating unique dining experiences.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to kitchen staff to foster professional growth and improve team dynamics.

Pay Rate:$28.00 to $30.00 an hour

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef or Chef de Partie in a high-end hotel, restaurant, or resort setting.
- Strong culinary skills, with a passion for quality, presentation, and innovation.
- A positive, hands-on leadership approach, with the ability to motivate and guide a team in a high-pressure environment.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to work well in a team, communicating effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house staff.
- Flexibility and adaptability, able to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment..
- Previous experience in a luxury resort or ski resort environment is a plus.
- Ability to work in a winter and Summerresort setting with a focus on high-end service and guest satisfaction.
