Job summary

Spectrolab, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, seeks an Associate Process Engineer to join the Process Engineering group at our Sylmar, CA facility. You will provide sustaining process engineering support for production and maintain SPC controls to resolve manufacturing issues, while collaborating across teams in Operations.

Preferred candidates have 1+ years in semiconductor processing and experience in photolithography, thin film deposition, etching, and high-temperature

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
• 1+ years of experience working with semiconductor processing.
• Experience in the semiconductor industry (III-V, II-VI, or Si) preferred.
• Experience in semiconductor processing, solar cell devices, material characterization and analytical techniques
• Experience with photolithography, thin film deposition, wet and dry etch processes, and high temperature annealing
• Experience with gated approach to process and product development and Aerospace industry material and qualification requirements
• Export Control requirements and U.S. Person eligibility

Responsibilities

• Provide sustaining process engineering support for production of solar cell wafers and solar cell assemblies
• Maintain process control using SPC tools, troubleshoot process anomalies, understand operation of process equipment
• Interact with teams within the Operations group to achieve goals
• Identify and execute continuous improvement and breakthrough new product or process ideas to reduce cycle time and cost
• Support R&D activities associated with advancing solar cell technologies and reducing cost
• Promote a culture where safety is a top priority
• Drive innovative solutions to create value
• Adopt an entrepreneurial mindset and take smart risks
• Maintain a productive sense of urgency
